Light

Designing for the hour after sunset

Most lamps are judged at noon in a showroom. We judge ours at dusk, when the daylight leaves and a room either holds its warmth or loses it. Every piece in the collection is tuned for that hour: low, warm and glare-free, with light that lands on walls and tables rather than in your eyes.

Material

Travertine, slowly

Travertine forms in layers around mineral springs, and you can read those layers in every piece: fine bands, open pores, a warmth that changes with the light. We hone it rather than polish it, so it stays soft to the touch and catches the evening sun.

The Dune lounge chair beneath the Arc lamp

Furniture

A chair you sink into

Dune began as a sketch of a single line wrapping around a person. The bouclé curve holds you on three sides; the round seat lets you turn toward the window or the room. It sits low, so the light stays above you.

Visit the room

Thursday to Sunday, by appointment, from four in the afternoon until the lamps go off.

FORM, its gallery and its collection are fictional. This site is a demonstration of what a web page can render today.
